San Antonio FC (6-0-1) hosts fellow MLS-hopeful Sacramento Republic FC (3-3-1) for the first time on Saturday.
San Antonio looks to extend the club’s unbeaten streak after earning 9 points on a Pacific Northwest road trip last week. The first place club has earned multiple accolades this season including Cesar Elizondo being named USL Player of the Week and Billy Forbes being nominated as USL Player of the Month.
Sacramento reloaded this off-season adding notorious attacking threat Sammy Ochoa among others. After starting off the season with a three match win streak, Sacramento hasn’t scored in their last four matches.
One unbeaten streak faces one scoreless streak as two USL West powerhouses meet at Toyota Field Saturday night.
Game Eight. San Antonio, TX. 5/6/2017. Kickoff 7:30 CDT

Keys for SAFC: Diego Restrepo looked significantly more comfortable in Portland than his first start in Seattle. If he can continue to build on that in his first home start, San Antonio has a chance to continue their unbeaten streak. Solid goalkeeping will be the key, but the entire squad must be ready to face a powerful attack as Sacramento looks to end their scoreless run.
Player to Watch: 33% of the USL Player of the Month voting is made up of fan voting, which is currently ongoing. As Billy Forbes looks to continue to win fan votes, we could see the early-season MVP candidate turn his game up yet another notch.
