It wasn’t a loss, but San Antonio FC dropped points at home to a winless Tulsa in their last USL match. While a victory over Colorado Springs Switchbacks FC in the third round of the U.S. Open Cup likely helped ease that frustration momentarily, the SA squad will need to get their USL season back on track in Reno Saturday night.
After a rough start, Reno 1868 is on a seven-match undefeated streak in USL play, including all three of their wins this season.
The two teams have the same amount of points on the table (14) and plenty of opportunity to make a push for the top of the table. But if either side wants to make their case for top 4 and hosting at least one playoff game, they need to leave the draws behind and starting earning 3 points each week.
